The CW released a new season ten promotional poster…well, kind of. It’s the same season six image of Tom Welling as Clark Kent used in past season ten promotional posters, but his shirt is red instead of black, and the Superman shield is red and gold, with the poster caption reading, “Believe.”

Special thanks to Carina MacKenzie with ‘Zap2it’ for posting the image via Twitter.

Tom Welling spoke with Rich Sands with ‘TV Guide’ last month about Smallville’s decade long Odyssey, working with Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) again, what are his future plans and more.

Read a snippet below:

TV Guide Magazine: You’ve already filmed the series finale and you have just a couple more weeks left. What’s going through your mind so close to the end?
Tom Welling: I find myself pretty excited to, in a sense, graduate. Every summer for the last 10 years, just after July 4th, I’ve come back here. And this year, I won’t. I am anticipating that around that time is when I’m probably going to start more reflection. Because we are so busy now there isn’t much time to think about that. So I’m looking forward to a reflective July.

TV Guide Magazine: What were you thinking as you filmed the very last scene?
Tom Welling: I wasn’t thinking that it was the last scene, because as much as it’s the end of Smallville, it’s the birth of this next phase in this character’s life, which is pretty exciting. I’ve said this like a broken record, this show, to me, has always been about Clark Kent — it hasn’t been about Superman. And it was very important at the end that we make sure that we wrap up the Clark Kent story. I hope that people have enjoyed the story that we’ve told.

Matt Mitovich with ‘TV Line’ spoke with Smallville executive producer, Kelly Souders about the remaining 5 episodes of the series. I added a couple of excerpts from the interview pertaining to Tom Welling:

TV Line: “Booster” (airing April 22) finds Clark further fine-tuning his mild-mannered persona. So, how well does Welling do bumbling?
Kelly Souders: “Watching Tom and the different avenues where he’s able to stretch his legs as an actor is so much fun,” Souders raves, “and in ‘Booster’ we really get to see him delve much deeper into the classic Clark Kent we all know and love.” As in “Masquerade,” his makeover gets that extra special loving touch. “Lois is very instrumental… as she and Clark Kent create this character.”

TV Line: Speaking of the two-hour series finale airing May 13: Why did Tom Welling tell CBS Watch! Magazine* that the very final moment gave him “goosebumps”?
Kelly Souders: “There are a lot of [great] moments,” Souders shares, “but that last one…. Even when we were talking about it in prep, we all got goosebumps!”

*I spoke to Tom Welling and many other series vets for a Smallville oral history that I compiled for CBS Watch! For much more, keep an eye out for the May issue of the magazine, which is sold at Barnes & Noble and Hudson News, and available for free subscription at CBSwatchmagazine.com.
